Busy Summer!

Hi everyone! Been too busy to turn around lately, but had to stop to share a layout. Went to a Bon Jovi concert at Churchill Downs on Friday, it was amazing! Then Dad got put in the hospital, so we've been back and forth for a few days now. Can't wait for life to slow down a little.

Here is my layout. I made it using goodies from The Sampler July kit by Scrapbooking Supplies R Us:

On Father's Day, my family took my Papaw out for breakfast and he loved it. He is so hard to buy presents for. He says "what can you get an 80 year old man???" But he loves to eat, so problem solved.

The July Sampler kit is amazing to work with. Had a blast playing with the pretty papers and banners!

Enjoy!!!

Itsy Bitsy Spider

Welcome to challenge #16 at Digi Doodle Shop's Best! Today's challenge is fun and easy, make a project using scraps. That can be scrap paper, scrap ribbon, anything that you define as a scrap.

For this challenge I used the adorable Goofy Spider digi from the Digi Doodle Shop. With Autumn around the corner, I decided to get started on a "Spooky" card:

For my "scraps" I used scraps of ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon's July ribbon club assortment. I colored my spider with Copics and traced the web with a Sakura glitter pen.

Visit the Digi Doodle Shop to see their amazing digi stamps. There's a big sale going on for the month of July - up to 50% off storewide. And visit DDSB to see the Design Teams terrific creations!

Hi everyone and welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon "July" Blog Hop! If you just happened to be visiting, visit the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog to get started. And if you're already taking part in the hop, you should have arrived from Gini's fabulous blog.

This month I'm showcasing the beautiful ribbons from the July Ribbon Club Assortment:

If you really love ribbon and would like to have a wonderful assortment of ribbons sent to you automatically each month, just join the Really Reasonable Ribbon Club!

Monthly ribbon club assortments are selected and pre-packed to reflect a specific theme, color, or holiday season. The assortments vary from month to month, but an average assortment has 5-8 different ribbon styles and consists of 10-15 yards of ribbon.

The total price of each monthly assortment is $9.00 and includes the shipping/handling fee too! This is such a good deal and I have so much ribbon left over each month from the RRR Club. It is wonderful!

And here is a card I made using 2 of the ribbons from this month's assortment:

I used October Afternoon and PTI Patterned Papers, Botanicals and Birds Clear Stamps from Paper Garden Projects, and RRR Ribbon. My flower is felt.

Here is a close-up of the two ribbons:

Hi everyone and welcome to A Crafty Little Place Challenge 47. This week we have another fun sketch challenge, check it out:

This week the Design Team played with Patterned Paper from the American Crafts "Backyard" Collection available at Die Cuts R Us. Here's my card:

I used AC Patterned Papers, Prism Cardstock, BG Kioshi Buttons, and Mays Art Ribbon (all available at DCRU). My flower is felt, loved making it!

And when I went out on the porch to take a picture of my card, look who was lounging in my porch chair:

This is Harley, my neighbor's doggie. She's the best dog on the farm. She minds much better than my dogs and we are buddies. She follows me everywhere.

DDSB Challenge 15

Time for a new challenge at Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge Blog. This week's challenge is fun and different, create a project using texture. The sky is the limit with this challenge and I'm sure everyone has a different opinion of what textures are.

This week I used the fabulous Blueberries Digi Stamp from the Digi Doodle Shop. I had so much fun coloring the blueberries and making them look real. Very fun stamp to work with. Here is my card:

My goal was to add texture in a way I usually don't. So a snip here and a snip there and I made my leaves curl on my stamp. Then I added a banner sentiment tag that stood out from my card. I wanted to add textures by making a 3D card instead of something flat. Here's a close-up:

Great sales are going on all month at the Digi Doodle Shop. And visit the Digi Doodle Shop's Best to play along this week and see the DT's lovely creations!

ACLP Challenge 46

Hi and welcome to challenge 46 @ A Crafty Little Place. July has lots of fun things in store for everyone and we are beginning the month with a sketch challenge:

This week the ACLP Design Team got to use beautiful papers from the Bo Bunny "Mango Luau" Collection.

I kept my card very simple. Instead of a sentiment I used my patterned paper to send a message of Summer fun. The Mango Luau collection has such fabulous vibrant colors, love it! My twine is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and my button is GCD Studios.

And if you want to do a little shopping this week, check out this sale:

The Die Cuts R Us sale starts today and ends July 12th. There will be items at 40-45% off! And visit ACLP to see the DT's adorable creations!

Happy 4th of July!!!

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. I love this time of the year, patriotic colors, one day dedicated to freedom! I'm so thankful for the soldiers who fight for me even though they don't know me personally. I'm thankful for being able to go to Church and worship God. There's so many freedoms that we take for granted!

Tonight we drove into town for the 4th of July fireworks.

I just love living in the country. And the fireworks were terrific!

I have a card to share tonite. I made it using my new Papertrey Ink Stamps and Pom Pom's from Really Reasonable Ribbon:

Nothing says "Summer" like nice cold lemonade!

And if you're a fan of Cards Magazine, check out the July issue:

My card made the contents page and 2 pages introducing the Chipboard Article, eek! The card that is in this issue was one I had in the closet put away and decided to send it in. It's defintely not one of my favorites, but you never know what might catch a publishers eye! So SUBMIT SUBMIT SUBMIT! When wonderful things happen, it reminds me why I craft and makes me want to get to work in my craft room!

Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge 14

***Scroll Down For Really Reasonable Ribbon Patriotic Challenge***

Hi everyone, time for a new challenge at DDSB. Today's challenge is so fun. Create a project using circles or dots.

For my card I used the new Strawberries stamp from the Digi Doodle Shop. When I saw this stamp I instantly fell in love and knew I had to have it! Take a look:

I love this card, mainly because of the beautiful stamp and the bright greens. I printed 2 stamps and layered the flowers and strawberries on top of eachother to give it a 3D look. I used Papertrey Ink Patterned Papers. I added ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon (one of June's Ribbon Club selections). My stamped sentiment and cardstock are Papertrey Ink. And I used my Spellbinder Nestabilities, Copics, and Sakura Glitter Pen.

Stop by the Digi Doodle Shop to see their fabulous selection of digi stamps. Visit the Digi Doodle Shop's Best Challenge Blog to see the Design Teams amazing creations and be sure to play along!

Really Reasonable RIbbon Challenge

I have a new challenge to tell you about at Really Reasonable Ribbon. This one is super easy! Create a Patriotic card, LO, or altered project and use ribbon.

RRR has a beautiful selection of Americana ribbon perfect for Patriotic themed projects. Check out my card:

I can't say enough good things about the Blue with Red Stitched Edge Grosgrain Ribbon I used for my bow. It is wonderful to work with and so easy to tie! The best Grosgrain ribbon I have ever used (and believe me, I've tried a lot).

And don't forget to sign up for the amazing RRR Monthly Ribbon Club. For a very low price you can have fabulous ribbon delivered to you every month! I have used my ribbon club goodies constantly and still have ribbon left from previous months! Such a good investment.
