Paper Garden Projects 4th Friday Challenge

Hi everyone!  Time for a challenge with Paper Garden Projects.  So...for this month's challenge - we want to see your Holiday cards. Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa - even New Year's - any Holiday card is fair game. The only rule is that you link up a project newly created for this challenge, although feel free to combine it with other current challenges out there in blogland.

Although we would love to see all the art you care to share, everyone will be entered in the prize drawing only once. One winner will be drawn randomly to win the prize. You have until midnight (EST) on Saturday, October 30th to link up your project to the Paper Garden Projects Blog. Just click the little froggy face at the bottom of the post to add your project.

Your prize this month is this super cute Eat Cake Graphics cling stamp. Can't wait to see what you create!

Here is my card:

For this card I used the darling Holly Jolly Clear Stamp Set from Penny Black.  My Cardstock is Prism.  My patterned paper is Imaginisce Cottage Christmas.  I also used Copics and Stickles for color and shine!  My boarder was made using a Fiskars Punch.  And I added a clothes pin for my finishing touch.

This card is also for this week's 2 Sketches 4 You sketch challenge.

Visit Paper Garden Projects  to play along for your chance to win!

Paper Garden Projects "Holiday Garden Walk"

It's time to hop with the girls at Paper Garden Projects!  This month we are having a Holiday Garden Walk to inspire you!  So put on a little Christmas music, relax and enjoy the walk!  You should have arrived from Cathy's fabulous blog (if not, begin the hop there).

While you visit, take note of each designer's name and their special holiday decoration in their blog post. Once you finish your garden tour, send an E-mail to custserv@papergardenprojects.com with the list of designers and their garden walk decoration.

Everyone who sends the correct list of designers and words will be entered in a random drawing to win a prize. You need to send an e-mail to the address above; please don't leave your list as a comment. You have until midnight (EST) on Friday, October 22 to send your list.

The prize this month is the complete collection of Woodland Whimsy Digital stamps - all 4 sets.  This prize has a total of 33 stamps!  Wowzers!

These are adorable stamps perfect for Autumn or Winter!  So detailed and ready to be added to your cards and projects.

Now for my creations.  I'm never in the Christmas Spirit "early".  Usually it hits when I start shopping and see Santa setting at the Malls and here all the Christmas cheer.  But the past few days I've been humming Christmas tunes when working with my goodies from Paper Garden Projects

Everything used to make this card can be found at the Paper Garden Projects Store.  I used the darling Holly Jolly Clear Stamp Set from Penny Black.  My Cardstock is Prism and Neenah White Cardstock (the best paper to use for stamping and coloring!).  My patterned paper is Imaginisce Cottage Christmas.  I also used Copics and Stickles for color and shine!  My ribbon and snowflake button are also from PGP.

Up next is another card I made using the same goodies:

And how about a present to go with the cards?  I used a 3" clear square box, available at Paper Garden Projects to make a cute ornament holder.  I love personalized ornaments, what a fun gift to make with your crafting supplies!

Here is a list of the hop order:

Cathy
Amber (that's me!!!)
Tangii
Linda
Andrea
Alyssa

Now for my special word: HOLLY.

Next up on the hop is Tangii's darling blog!

Enjoy!!!

Random Bloggings

Hi everyone!  Hope this Autumn day has been a splendid one!  It was on the cool side here in Kentucky.  The sunshine was beautiful, but the wind was chilly.  It's cool enough that I already added my electric blanket to the bed.  Hubby isn't very happy about it, but my doggies love it!

Got a LO to share tonite that I created with goodies from my October Sampler Kit from Scrapbooking Supplies R Us.  I love this month's kit, the perfect mix of crafting supplies for card makers or scrappers.

Meet my "crazy critter" Dallie.  She's an English Setter than I rescued.  We share a birthday so I know it was a match made in Heaven!  My Hubby thinks she's crazy.  She does dig holes like a bulldozer and takes odd running fits.  But hey, at least she's having fun.  I love the little bit of slobber that's on her chin in this picture!  So adorable.  The "daily mood tracker" paper found in the Sampler was so perfect for this LO, I wrote about Dallie's moods.  You still have time to snatch up a kit at Scrapbooking Supplies R Us

I've been enjoying some lazy slow days on the farm.  Seems like this time of year most of the work is ending and you just get to sit around and appreciate everything.  I love spending time with my chickens, there is something so calming about them.  And my new duck Cornbread is so fun!  She's obsessed with cornbread, hence the name!  She loves eating cat food out of my hand.  And she thinks she is a turkey.

It has been a very dry Fall with little rain.  So Cornbread likes taking a dip in the water trough.  By the time she's done we usually have to refill it!  She's a splasher.

One of my favorite farm blogs is Apifera Farms.  Katherine has such an amazing perspecitve of the animals on her farm.  So if you enjoy hearing about farm life, visit her blog.

Don't forget, Paper Garden Projects Blog Hop starts Saturday!  Be there or be square!

October Hop with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hi everyone and welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon "October" Blog Hop! If you just happened to be visiting, visit the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog to get started. And if you're already taking part in the hop, you should have arrived from Gini's wonderful blog.

This month I'm showcasing ribbon from October's Really Reasonable Ribbon Club Assortment. Here's a bit about the club:

If you really love ribbon and would like to have a wonderful assortment of ribbons sent to you automatically each month, just join the Really Reasonable Ribbon Club! Monthly ribbon club assortments are selected and pre-packed to reflect a specific theme, color, or holiday season. The assortments vary from month to month, but an average assortment has 5-8 different ribbon styles and consists of 10-15 yards of ribbon. The total price of each monthly assortment is $9.00 and includes the shipping/handling fee too!

Here is the October Ribbon Club Assortment:

This month I focused on holiday fun!  With all the beautiful ribbon, creating was easy!  I'm usually one who waits till Christmas to get into the "Christmas Spirit"....but even I have been humming Christmas tunes while working with this month's ribbon club assortment!

First up is a Christmas Card I made:

For this card I used Prism Cardstock, Cottage Christmas Patterned Paper, and Penny Black Stamps all from Paper Garden Projects.  My ribbon and twine are from ReallyReasonable Ribbon.  I colored my stamped image with Copics and added Stickles for shine.

Next up is a Christmas LO I made using the Ribbon Club Assortment.  The great thing about ribbon is you don't have to be a specific type of crafter to enjoy it!  Cards, LO's, or altered items look terrific with a touch of ribbon!

This picture were taken last year at my Christmas Party with my coworkers.  We always have a great time and the gag gifts are always a hoot!  They'll just love it when they see their pictures being blogged!  I used all My Mind's Eye patterned papers and die cuts.  I simply tacked my ribbon to the top of my page, ruffling it as I went.  Very easy and you don't have to be good at sewing to do this!

Here is a list of the hop order:

Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog
Jacque Beddingfield
Cassi Box
Robbie Herring
Mindy Baxter
Gini Cagle
Amber Goble (You Are Here!!!)
Susan Dupre
Kerri Michaud
Trudy Sjolander
Cheryl Walker
Erika Taylor

This is my last hop with Really Reasonable Ribbon, my DT term ends this month. I've had such a wonderful time on the Design Team.  It's been an honor to work with such fabulous crafters and Bonnie has a wonderful store and great products!  Thanks for all the extra ribbon along the way Bonnie, you're the sweetest!  Erika has been such an inspiring leader and made the DT experience so fun.

Next up on the hop is Susan's darling blog. Enjoy the hop!!!

October's Challenge

Hi all!  Today I'm playing along with a few challenges.  This week at The Shabby Tea Room Challenge 31 we are suppose to use this darling photo for our inspiration by using the colors or add a pumpkin to our card:

And I followed this week's sketch challenge at 2 Sketches 4 You:

And here is the finished product:

My card was made using Papertrey Ink & Colorbok Cardstock and My Mind's Eye Patterned Paper.  I used my Candy Corn Stamp set from Paper Garden Projects.  And my ribbons and trim are Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I used Spellbinder Nestabilities and colored my candy corn using Sakura pens, Stickles and Copics.

Thanks for stopping by!

4th Fun

Hi all!  Do you ever just have a great Saturday???  Well mine was so relaxing and nice today, loved every second of the beautiful sunny weather, the leaves, and the farm.  Plus we had a local festival in town and I got a Funnel Cake loaded with powdered sugar, yummo.  Funnel cakes always make me happy!

I've got a LO to share tonite of the 4th of July 2009 which I just scrapped (shame on me).  I used all Pink Paislee goodies plus American Craft Thickers.

This is my nephew Logan and our neighbor Olivia.  They are big buddies!  Logan decided to see if sparklers were 3D.

I loved making this banner.  I just stitched from triangle to triangle to give it a "together" look.

And for my "4th"...I stitched it. First I stitched the red then I stitched the blue, making the colors overlap in places.

Happy Weekend!

Lazy October Days

Today has been a lazy day.  I got up bright and early this morning and cleaned house so I'd have the entire day free to do anything I like.  So as you can guess, I crafted!  There's so many fun challenges out there and I love taking part in them when I get the chance.

First up is a card I did for 2 Sketches 4 You and The Shabby Tea Room.  This week the Shabby Tea Room is challenging us to do a vintage trick or treat card.  Here's mine:

I found this adorable little pumpkin picture in some of my Design Team stash so I finally put it to use!  I used Papertrey Ink Cardstock and My Mind's Eye Patterned Papers.  My ribbon and lace are from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  My sentiment is Papertrey Ink.  And the cute little button is Jenni Bowlin.  I colored over the pumpkin picture with Copics to give it a little color.

I have another card I made for 2 Sketches 4 You with goodies from my Sampler Kit for October.  The kit is currently available at Scrapbooking Supplies R Us, take a look:

And here is my card I made with Echo Park and Jenni Bowlin goodies included in the kit plus a little ribbon:

Next up is a card I made for Card Patterns and All Things Unity.  This week All Things Unity's challenge is to make a card for kids:

I just love Unity and Ippity Stamps.  They are so darling and uplifting.  For this little card I stamped my tree and added buttons for fun.  I made my card with an older girl in mind with all the frilly pinks.  And I love the Bible Verse "Be Still and know that I am God."  What a perfect message for the busy world we live in now.  I think we all need to be still sometimes and know how wonderful our Savior is.

Wanted to share a quick picture of my scrapbooking helper.  His name is Jake and he's all attitude:

He's always got his nose where it doesn't belong and tends to run straight for the camera when I have it out!  Look at those little ears!  I sure love this little guy.

Now on to some exciting news.  I found out yesterday that I've been picked to be on the Creative Charms Design Team!  Yippee, more embellishments to play with.  And I'm so honored to be on a DT with so many talented people!

Celebrate the Card!

Who knows what today is???  Of course, it's World Card Making Day!!!
Moxie Fab World is having a lot of giveaways so you need to go check them out!  In honor of WCMD I wanted to share a few cards I made with the September Sampler Kit by Scrapbooking Supplies R Us.

I just loved working with the Dear Lizzy stamps from American Crafts included in last month's Sampler Kit. And the fabric bow was the perfect touch!

I also enjoyed making this card....I usually don't use white as my base cardstock, but I love inking the edges to make the white more visible.  The letters I used were also white and I colored them with Copics to add a little color.

I've had a busy week....We have a Great Pyrenees Dog named Boots, she's terrific with all of our farm animals...expecially goats.  Her mate, Bandit passed away a couple of years ago and I started worrying Boots may be lonely, even though she has a herd of goats all to herself.  So we made a visit to our local animal shelter when I found this guy on Petfinder:

He is a full stock Great Pyrenees male that is approximately 6 years old.  He was picked up by animal control and is VERY underweight.  He has to be neutered before we bring him home, but we are so excited!
While we've been waiting on the neutering, he developed Kennel Cough.  So now he's being treated for that before surgery can be done.  We've decided to name him Job, like in the Bible that lost everything and then God gave him back even more.  Hopefully we can give Job his life back and then some!  We've got acres of land, a herd of goats, and Boots patiently waiting for his arrival.

We visited him today and took him a stuffed animal and brought the doggies at the shelter and Job some rawhide treats.  There are so many doggies there needing good homes.  Before you "shop" for a dog, visit Petfinder...your bestfriend might be waiting there for you!
