Hi all! Hope you're having a terrific weekend. I've been in the house for days! First with a kidney stone and today it was just too cold to be outside. The wind was wicked. My little animals didn't seem to notice the cold! I have a chicken sitting on eggs under our barn, I have no way to get to her so we'll just have to see what she hatches. She's a beautiful bantam so her chicks should be pretty.
Wanted to play along with this week's Play Date Cafe Challenge:
Such Springy colors and normally not colors I combine. Here's my card:
This little card is a combo of everything. I used goodies from a Jillibean Soups Card Kitchen Kit. Mom has got me several of their kits and I LOVE them! I used lots of Papertrey Ink. Pop Tone Felt from A Walk Down Memory Lane. Seam binding and a pin.
I've also got a post up at Stamp School that I'd love for you to check out. I've been asked on occasion how I photograph my cards, so I did a tutorial explaining my methods.
That's all for tonite. Have a great Saturday!

Party Time
Hi all! My computer and broswer are acting up and I'm about to pull my hair out! Think it's time for a new lap top!
We got snow on Sunday, about 5 inces, maybe a little more. Here's a picture:
Heavy snows are beautiful in the mountains, but a nightmare for the power company!
It had already started melting by the time I got home from work this morning, but it was breathtaking while it lasted!
I have a card to share tonite from The Cutting Cafe. This week the Design Team is showcasing party hats. Take a look:
I used the Party Hat Card Shape and Birthday Tags printable stamp set to create my party hat. The hat was so simple to make! The Party Hat comes with extra printables so you can add embellishments to your hat. I cut out my birthday tag and added a bit of felt behind it. I then used pop up glue dots to add the tag. I also added glitter tape, pearls, and Liquid Pearls.
The Birthday Tags have a variety of sentiments and definitions. Visit The Cutting Cafe to see all the amazing files and stamps and stop by The Cutting Cafe Blog to see lots of inspiration!

A Little Love
Hi all! It's lookin bad for the weekend! Here's the weather map:
The arrow gives you an idea where I'm at, in the 5-10 inches area. Plus I have to work all weekend, so I'll probably be packing my bags for a camp out at the hospital.
Wanted to share a layout tonite. I made it using The Sampler's February Kit, Oh Penelope.
My precious Gracie Goble! She's such a sweet little friend. Most of my goodies for this LO are My Mind's Eye and Hambley. The February Sampler also comes with fun Memorandum Index Journaling Cards from Lily Bee. I used them on most all my LO's this month.
Wanted to share a super fun link with you tonite that I discovered on Pinterest (of course!):
Such a super way to keep blog posts organized! I am definitely making a blog planner! Enjoy!!!

How Many Books???
Hi guys! I'm back to share a new creation I made using fabulous goodies from The Cutting Cafe. This week the Design Team is playing with the Mini Colored Calendar Cards.
I am a keeper, I like knowing dates and having diaries, keeping little bits and pieces of life...so I decided to make a calendar book. But not just any calendar book - this one is going to keep a special record for me.
I'm an avid reader and who knows how many books I read a year??? So this year, each time I complete a book I am going to write it down in my handy dandy calendar book. This project took approximately 30 minutes to complete, very quick. My supplies are Mini Color Calendar Cards and Fun With Pockets files from The Cutting Cafe, hole punch, ribbon, and any embellishments you want to decorate your book.
To make this cutie I started the Fun With Pockets Template from The Cutting Cafe. Instead of folding the edges of the pocket I cut them off and just used the front and back, making the pocket my book cover and back. I then printed the Mini Colored Calendar Cards on colored cardstock and cut them out, leaving an approx 1 inch edge on the left side. I scored all lines at the edge of my Calendar Cards so my book would fold easily. I hole punched the cards and fit them into my "pocket" and tied them in with ribbon.
Once you have your book formed, embellish away. I made a book mark on the inside to mark the month and added a pocket to the back cover of my book. I also hole punched the front and back cover and added a big brad to hold my book together when not in use.
This project was so easy to make. I think I'll whip up a few extra for family and friends who are readers. It would also be great to make a child's version so you can keep up with how many books your little reader completes this year.
Visit The Cutting Cafe to see these fabulous items and much more! If you have any questions about my creation, just leave a comment and I'll get back to you!

Inspired By Stamping Release Day
Welcome back to release day at Inspired By Stamping! Today each of the 9 new stamp sets are available for purchase plus all the flowers at the Inspired By Stamping Shop! I thought it might be easier if I showed you the 4 stamp sets I worked with this month instead of all the stamp sets. Here they are:
Small Fancy Labels 18
Small Fancy Labels 3
Big Wishes
The fancy labels sets coordinate with the Spellbinder Nestabilties Labels 3 and 18, but aren't a must to use the stamp set. Now for my release cards:
I love how this card turned out! My stamps are the Small Fancy Labels 3.
For this card I used Fancy Labels 18. My sentiment is from a previously released stamp set at Inspired By Stamping - The Sky's The Limit. And my flowers are Inspired By Stamping Pink Daisies and Large White Curly Flowers.
One more release card to share:
I adore this little card! It uses the Fancy Labels 18 and The Sky's The Limit sentiment. I also used a Shabby Pink Flower from Inspired By Stamping.

I've Got A Crush!
Hi all! This week at The Cutting Cafe the Design Team is playing with the new Candy Sentiment Sets. This set is loaded with every junk food you can imagine! The Candy Sentiment Sets are also great to pair with other files from The Cutting Cafe to make your own personal candy boxes, etc.
I decided to use the Crushed Soda Sentiment Set:
My tag and background patterned paper is part of the Crushed Soda Set. I added ribbon and lace from The Ribbon Reel, cardstock from Papertrey Ink, and a boarder sticker from Momenta.

Catching Up
Hope your week has been fabulous so far. I work the next three nites, so I'm a little blah. But I'm blessed to have a good job where I help children, what more could you ask for?
Got a card to share tonite that I made with February goodies from Stamp School. This little project was so fun. Check out my Study Hall post @ Stamp School telling how I created it:
Laundry lines are so trendy and I can't get enough of them! I used the following products from Stamp School - Hannah Flying a Kite Stamps, Blessed Easter Stamps, Pop Tone Cardstock, and Pop Tone Inks. I also used Copics, Fiskars Punch, and Papertrey Ink Twine.
Up next is the introduction of February's Sampler Kit - Oh Penelope:
I'd love for you to take a minute and visit The Sampler Kit Club to see where the kit got its name! I have a "lovely" card to share with you that I created using goodies from the kit:
I've been going a bit crazy with the Valentine's Day theme. It's one of my favorite holidays...who doesn't love flowers, candy and pink??? The fantabulous Jenni Bowlin paper plus Lily Bee journaling cards and alphabet made this card easy peasy to create. The Sampler is now a member of Pinterest - I'd love for you to follow along to see the Design Teams amazing creations in one place.
Now just for a little chit chat. I'm an avid reader...could read 24/7. At the moment I'm reading:
I was really hesitant to start reading The Hunger Games trilogy...but I love them. So very different than anything I've ever read. So if you're on the fence about these books, give them a try. Glad I did!

Southern Girls Challenge
Who's ready for another challenge from Southern Girls???
Challenge 36 was a first for me - magic and mystery. I'm a big fan of paranormal books (vamps, etc) so I had fun with this one. We want to see magic and mystery on your projects, fairies, unicorns, elves etc.... you get the picture.
Our international Sponsor for this challenge is Delicious Doodles. I used their Ivy Fairy digi for my card:
I used My Mind's Eye Patterned Paper. I colored my image with Copics. I used Papertrey Ink stamps and Stickles. Visit Southern Girls to see the Designs teams take on this fun challenge and play along for your chance to win!
