Hi all!  Sorry I've been MIA.  I do believe I've had my first midlife crisis, haha.  I have changed jobs, no more nite shift and holidays for me.  I will be working in Clinical Education at a local hospital helping teach staff.  Very excited for this opportunity.

Have a darling card to share tonite that I made using goodies from The Cutting Cafe.  This week the Design Team is thinking "Easter".  I used the Easter Basket Shaped Card to make my creation:

Easter is by far my favorite holiday, so I love my little basket of eggs.  Here's a close-up:

Altered Spool

Hi all!  First up I want to thank everyone who played along with the Practical Scrappers "Link with Love" Blog Hop!  Now for the winner of my scrap goodie prize package - Patricia of Harmony, Health and Faith.  Congrats, email me at msadg(at)setel(dot)com with your addy and I'll get your package in the mail.

Now on to something new.  This week at The Cutting Cafe we are all about "St. Patricks Day"...I worked with the 4 Leaf Clover Shaped Card and Lucky Me Digi Stamps available at The Cutting Cafe.  I wanted to think "outside the box" for this challege so I decided to alter a twine spool as a St. Patty's Day gift:

I have been seeing banner greetings lately - you roll a banner up and have the recepient unroll their sentiment.  This is such a cute idea, kinda  trendy version of opening a card.  Thought a spool would be perfect to connect my banner to.  I also used the 4 Leaf Clover and added goodies from Etsy and a Key Hole from Maya Road.

A perfect gift to present to a "lucky" teacher.  I added a thin toothpick behind my clover to make it more sturdy.  Visit The Cutting Cafe to see all of Regina's amazing printable stamps and cutting files.  And visit The Cutting Cafe Blog to see the Design Teams adorable creations!

Makes You Think

Hi guys!  Got a card to share with you tonite.  First up is the beautiful colors for The Play Date Cafe's Challenge 121:

Such fabulous pastels!  Here's my card:

Loving these new stamps from Papertrey Ink!  I think I'm addicted to their long banner die - great for adding sentiments to cards!

It's been a rough week here in the Bluegrass State.  The destruction that occured in the path of the tornadoes that hit Friday is unbelieveable.  Luckily we were spared, God is good.  The tornadoes were within miles of our house.  We expect blizzards, floods, thunderstorms...but tornadoes are rare in the mountains.

I'd love for you to watch the West Liberty Tornado Prayer.  Such a powerful video.

Link With Love Blog Hop

Welcome to the Practical Scrappers "Linking with Love" Blog Hop!  We believe it is important to always give credit when it is due to another crafter.  You should have arrived from Jayma's fabulous blog.  If you just happened to "find" the hop, visit Practical Scrappers to start from the beginning.  For this unique hop all of our design team members used the same inspiration piece to create their project.  Each of us made an example of ourselves as to how to properly "Link with Love" and credit the inspiration.  We'll be running the hop thru Noon EST on Sunday - so you have plenty of time to get thru it!

Liz Qualman created this beautiful layout and we have all used it for inspiration.  Each of us will tell what part we took our inspiration from.  The whole hop will culminate at Liz's blog where she'll provide us with a new sketch for inspiration.

Isn't Liz's creation darling???  I found inspration in the layout and the title "Spring".  Here's my layout:

I love being a farm girl and each year it amazes me how different the eggs are that our chickens and turkey lay.  You have all different shapes and sizes, just like people.  I love looking into my egg basket and seeing such a variety.  My title letters are Pink Paislee and ribbon is Papertrey Ink.  Everything else I used is Momenta.  I inked the edges of my LO to give it a vintage look.

I took my picture with my iPhone using the Instagram app and printed it using the Postal Pix app.  Love how old fashioned my pictures turned out!

Many of the designers are providing prizes at their stop and Practical Scrappers is providing a prize for one person who becomes a follower at each stop (for all the details head over to Practical Scrappers).  I am giving away a scrap goodie prize package to one lucky person!  All you have to do is become a follower of mine and leave a comment, international hoppers are more than welcome to enter.  I will announce a winner on Tuesday.

Here is the Blog Hop list:

Amber Goble - You Are Here!!!!

Next up on the hop is Sarah's fabulous blog!  And don't forget - always link with love.

Southern Girls Challenge 39

It's time for another challenge from Southern Girls.  For Challenge 39 we want you to share a secret!  Secret journaling, pockets, photos, tags.....a secret on your project.

For this challenge I used The Sweet Gardener digi stamp from The Paper Shelter, one of our sponsors for this challenge.

For this little card I used lots of Papertrey Ink.  Patterned paper from Jillibean Soup.  Copics.  I added a little hidden tag for my secret:

Crafty Weekend

Hi all!  Hope you're having a terrific weekend.  I've been in the house for days!  First with a kidney stone and today it was just too cold to be outside.  The wind was wicked.  My little animals didn't seem to notice the cold!  I have a chicken sitting on eggs under our barn, I have no way to get to her so we'll just have to see what she hatches.  She's a beautiful bantam so her chicks should be pretty.

Wanted to play along with this week's Play Date Cafe Challenge:

Such Springy colors and normally not colors I combine.  Here's my card:

This little card is a combo of everything.  I used goodies from a Jillibean Soups Card Kitchen Kit.  Mom has got me several of their kits and I LOVE them!  I used lots of Papertrey Ink.  Pop Tone Felt from A Walk Down Memory Lane.  Seam binding and a pin.

I've also got a post up at Stamp School that I'd love for you to check out.  I've been asked on occasion how I photograph my cards, so I did a tutorial explaining my methods.

That's all for tonite.  Have a great Saturday!

Party Time

Hi all!  My computer and broswer are acting up and I'm about to pull my hair out!  Think it's time for a new lap top!

We got snow on Sunday, about 5 inces, maybe a little more.  Here's a picture:

Heavy snows are beautiful in the mountains, but a nightmare for the power company!

It had already started melting by the time I got home from work this morning, but it was breathtaking while it lasted!

I have a card to share tonite from The Cutting Cafe.  This week the Design Team is showcasing party hats.  Take a look:

I used the Party Hat Card Shape and Birthday Tags printable stamp set to create my party hat.  The hat was so simple to make!  The Party Hat comes with extra printables so you can add embellishments to your hat.  I cut out my birthday tag and added a bit of felt behind it.  I then used pop up glue dots to add the tag.  I also added glitter tape, pearls, and Liquid Pearls.

The Birthday Tags have a variety of sentiments and definitions.  Visit The Cutting Cafe to see all the amazing files and stamps and stop by The Cutting Cafe Blog to see lots of inspiration!
