Bliss

Nothing makes me happier than crafting.  I love days when there is actually nothing to do and I have time to work on cards for challenges.  Today I have 3 cards to share with you.

First up is a card I made for CR84FN 39 and I combined it with this week's CASE Study Challenge 59:

Beautiful colors perfect for this time of year.  Here's my card:

My cardstock, ribbon, stamps, and die cut are Papertrey Ink.  Patterned paper is Authentique.  I used a Fiskars Scallop Punch and my button is Crate Paper.  My bow refused to be tied the other direction, so I let it be.

Up next is this week's challenge from The Shabby Tea Room - Chevrons:

And we were also asked to use the colors BLUE, GREEN, ORANGE, CREAM AND BROWN.

I used some pretty Peebles patterned paper on this card and Papertrey Ink stamps.  And of course I added Stickles for shine!

OK last card for the nite, I combined Mojo Monday sketch 208:

With Colour Q Challenge 104:

And threw in the Ribbon Carousel Challenge 22:

And here's what you get:

My patterned paper is My Little Shoe Box.  I used Core'dinations and Papertrey Ink cardstock.  I also used PTI stamps and die cuts.  I made my rose from Mays Art ribbon.

So I'm out of challenges, you're probably happy, hehe!  I do have a farm picture to share with you that might make you smile!

Goats are all business at meal time!  This is our view!  They get choked, burp, and you can imagine the other things that go on while their eating.  The bigger guys always eat on the right side of the feeder and the smaller ones on the left, plus they each have their own space cut out to minimize fighting!  As you can see our goats are very overweight!  None of them are pregnant, so it's all chub.  Ifyou're looking for a laugh, go to Awkward Family Photos.  Believe me, you'll be happy you visited!

Happy Autumn

Hi all!  Autumn may be my least favorite time of the year, but it sure inspires me to create.  Got a few cards to share tonite.  I have a giant mess in my living room, looks like a craft store exploded!  I love sitting in the living room crafting during the Fall (despite having a craft room).  Hubby hasn't mentioned the mess "yet" so I'm going to stay there a little while longer since it's got my mojo to flowing.  Question...how does one move from a "craft room" to a "craft studio"???  I love when people say they're going to their studio, but I have a sneeky suspicion that it's really a room....So I've decided to start calling mine a STUDIO also : )  Sounds more inspiring!

OK for my cards tonite I went all Papertrey Ink.  I was behind on PTI stamps, some times I get really addicted to buying these bundles of goodness and sometimes I hold back...But I was in need of some new stuff and ordered a few things that have changed my life, like the "Doily Detail Collection" - PTI exclusive dies.  I also used the stamp set "Love Lives Here" and adore it!

First up is a card inspired by Card Patterns Sketch 134:

And here is my card:

My patterned paper is Authentique.  I used seam binding from my September Sampler Kit and used Stickles for shine.

Next up a little card inspired by The Play Date Cafe Challenge 100:

And here is the fabulous sketch from A Sketch For You To Try:

And I managed to blend in this week's Case Study 58 and Scrapbook Sisters Challenge 53 (Autumn Colors).  And here is my card:

My patterned paper is My Little Shoe Box and orange ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I just love the PTI doily dies, so simple to take plain cardstock and make beautiful shapes.

Now a change of subject, Pinterest has totally got me into the gift giving spirit.  I'm thinking about Christimas presents that I can start working on now.  It seems so simple to go buy something, but is my heart always in it?  No.  So I've decided to do a little DIY this holiday season.  First up a wreath I want to make for our Secret Santa party at work:

And some DIY dry erase boards:

The dry erase boards should be easy because goodness knows I have plenty of patterned paper!  Enjoy!!!

Oh Scrappy Days

Hi crafty friends!  I've got to tell you, I went a little crazy with the projects today.  Some days the mojo is there, some days it's not!  First up is the latest sketch challenge at The Sampler Kit Club Blog.  All of my projects today are made with goodies from the September Sampler Kit

Such a cute sketch!!!  And here's my layout:

I love doing sappy LO's of Hubby and I!  He's not a sappy person - so what he doesn't know won't hurt him, hehe!  The winner of this month's sketch challenge will get an entire Sampler Kit.  Visit the Sampler Blog for more details!

Up next is a card I made for CardPatterns Sketch 133 and The Play Date Cafe Challenge 99:

And:

Here's my card:

My cardstock and doily die cut is Papertrey Ink.  And if you're a fan of doilys - these die cuts are a must!!!!

Now a little card for this week's Case Study:

This card is a mixture of MME, AC, and Crate Paper.  My ribbon is seam binding.  The stamp - from the new My Mind's Eye "Lost and Found 2".

And last but not least, some Moxie Fab World inspiration:

Such an adorable picture.  There was a million different ideas going on inside my head when I looked at it, but I decided to zero in on the button cards and colors:

And now for a bit of duck news.  My latest duck, Bubby Quackers (see "duck" labels to the right for my history of duck troubles!) has been ill.  He has a bad limp and I had to put him in my chick coop for a few nites and do some physical therapy on the little guy (swims in the water trough).  Luckily I was able to let him out this evening and he's doing much better.  His paretns, Frank and Fredda Quackers and adopted sister Daphne were thrilled.  Here's a picture of Bubby:

He's beautiful and going to be white like his Daddy.  He is still all fluff, no feathers yet!  Will keep you posted!

Lost & Found 2

Who has seen the new Lost & Found 2 Collection from My Mind's Eye!  It is beautiful, amazing, fabulous....ok I could keep this up all nite, but you get the point.  The collection is a must have for paper crafters!  The latest Sampler Kit is full of the latest MME goodies!  I had to make a LO for this month's layout challenge on the My Mind's Eye Blog:

Here is my LO using all MME products found in this month's Sampler Kit:

This is Matt's sweet little Mamaw Hester.  I wanted this LO to be a collection of goodies and just stuck my journaling strips here and there, didn't want them to be straight and perfect.  Love how it turned out.  All of my goodies are from the Lost & Found 2 collection, love it!  I know some day I'll think "back then - when we would spend our evenings sitting on Hester's porch" will be a precious memory.

Rainy Days

Hi all!  Who's ready for short Autumn days and cooler weather?  It's been raining cats and dogs for the past few days in Kentucky, thanks to Hurricane Lee.  But I've enjoyed the slower pace of life and taking a break from the busy Summer days.

Have a card and a LO to share tonite.  My supplies are from the August Sampler Kit at Scrapbooking Supplies R Us.  First up is a card for this week's Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World, take a look:

This chair looks perfect for reading!  The flowers and colors were so inspirational.  Here is my card:

Loving this little card and the fabulous POW!  Glitter Paper from AC!  Next up is another project from the August Sampler Kit.  I was inspired by this week's Sketchy Thursday sketch:

And here is my LO:

My farm life is always a journey!  There's an adventure around every corner, sometimes happy and sometimes sad.  Each moment makes me respect nature more and so thankful for the beautiful world God gave us.

I got my September Sampler kit in the mail today and OMG it is fabulous!  Can't say enough good things about this kit, here's a little looky:

So excited to get to work using "Come Fly With Me".  There's so many unique pieces to this kit, truly makes it special.  Check out The Sampler's Blog to see some of the fabulous projects the DT have already created with this kit!  I have so many pictures to scrap.  I attended my cousin's wedding this weekend at the Kentucky Horse Park near Lexington.  It was such a beautiful ceremony (and hot hot hot).

We had a wonderful time.  The Horse Park was such a great location for an outdoor wedding in Kentucky!  I even convinced Matt to wear a purple shirt so he wouldn't clash with my dress, hehe!

I also want to share a new adventure I'm starting on.  I found a great women's Bible Study Group called Good Morning Girls.  With my busy life and working, sometimes I let my Bible Study slip, this is something I want to fix.  So starting mid September we begin studying:
Check out the Good Morning Girls website if it's something you might be interested in!
