Spooktacular Giveaway

Hi all!  Hope you're having a "frightfully" fun Monday!  I'm having a giveaway today that might help with all those trick or treat pictures you have to scrap!  I was approached by Liz at MyMemories to try out their digital scrapbook software for free.  Let me tell you, it's fabulous!  I've often tried digi kits with my Photoshop program and failed, things were just too complicated and confusing for me.  MyMemories makes creating digitally EASY with prompts that guide you each step of the way.

Want to see a LO I created:

Now keep in mind this was my first try at a complete page and look how it turned out!  Pretty good for a beginner!  And one of my favorite features of the MyMemories Suite is the options to share your album.  You can print yourself, have it professionally printed, made into a calendar, save as jpeg, and the list goes on and on.  The suite comes with lots of templates, backgrounds, and embellishments.  Plus you can always add more from the MyMemories Store

OK so here's the fun part of today's post....Liz gave me 2 MyMemories Digital Suites - one for me and one for you!  All you have to do is leave a comment here telling me what you think of digital creations?  Fear, fun, exciting???  Let me know!

I also have a super coupon for those of you who want to do a little shopping!  Use my code to get a $10 discount off the purchase of the My Memories Suite Scrapbook software and a $10 coupon for the MyMemories Store ($20 value!)  The code is STMMMS34547.

I'd love for you to visit the following links where you can learn more about this amazing software:
This contest will be open till Saturday at 11:59 PM.  I'll pick a winner on Sunday!  Good luck!

Color My World

Hi crafty friends!  Have a card to share with you tonite using lots of "primary colors", something I usually avoid!  I made this card for the Practical Scrappers Card Making Contest - where I'm in the TOP 5, woohoo!  I need your help peeps, follow this link to vote for me in their poll!  Take a look:

This week's challenge was to use dry embossing and rainbows...whether it be rainbow colors or the actual thing.  So I decided to make a really complicated rainbow doily.  Here's my tutorial on the how's...if it's confusing just email me any questions you may have..

First off I cut out small strips of Papertrey Ink cardstock (all the same size).  I then glued it (I used a glue stick that would only slightly adhere it so it could be removed) to a thin piece of plastic.  I ran it thru my Cuttlebug and used one of my PTI doily dies to cut out the shape.  Here's the trick, it punches out the doily perfectly but leaves the plastic intact...so it's kinda lik peeling a sticker off something.  I then removed my doily pieces and adhered it to another piece of cardstock, making sure everything aligned pefectly and cut out my doily with a Spellbinder Nestability.

The easiest way I have found to make a technicolored doily!  I love the rainbow behind the October Afternoon clouds...and I still stuck some pink on my card!  Can't make a card without a little pink.

I'm enterng my little rainbow card in the following challenges:

And Papercraft Star Challenge 68:

And I'd like to send a few shout outs to The Ribbon Carousel and Case Study for including me in their winners circle!!!

Little Bits of Life

Hi everyone!  Thanks so much for all your sweet comments on my blog, each one is appreciated.  And thanks to all who have voted for me in the Practical Scrappers Card Making Contest

Who wants to hear a little exciting news?  I am now part of the Inspired By Stamping Design Team Inspired By Stamping is a fabulous Store created by the talented Joanna Munster, who designs her own stamps!    You MUST check out her stamps, they are so detailed and just amazing.  Each month the Design Team will be sharing sneak peaks and new releases.  And talk about talent, it's an honor to be working with such crafty ladies

I have a few things to share tonite that I ADORE.  I'm so addicted to Pinterest!  My mind is constantly spinning with ideas!  Here's a few things I love:

Is this not the cutest coat you've ever seen????  I NEED it!  I love pea coats, I love hot pink, I love bows!  It's perfect.

OK you've gotta read about the hair chalking!  I think it's beautiful and washes out in about 3 shampoos.  What will they think of next?

I think these sewing kits would be perfect gifts.  Love the burlap pin cushions on top.

Now I have a question.  How many of you use digital scrapbooking kits and software?  I recently discovered the MyMemories Digital Software and I'm amazed!  So much fun, I could play for hours.  Well I may be having a little giveaway this week!  That's all I can say.  I've been interested in digital crafting for years, but never had software I was really comfortable using, until now!  Will keep you posted.

And last but not least.  My doggies dress up each year for trick or treat.  This year my sweet Gracie is going to be a BEE.  She has a major bee phobia, terrified of the things.  If she hears any type of buzzing, from a stink bug to a hummingbird, she flips out.  We've talked about doggie Prozac, doggie psychiatric treatment....Summer's are rough in the Goble household!  When cool weather rolls in, she snaps out of it and is perfectly normal.  Here's a LO I did a few years ago dedicated to Gracie's fears:

And here is Gracie all dressed up for trick or treat 2011...we had a costume fitting tonite:

The cutest bee in town!  I'll share Jake's costume later in the week...

Creative Craziness

Hi all!  I went a little overboard in the studio today and have all kinds of creations to share with you.  It was cold outside and I have no desire to be out freezing when I can be inside making a card!  So are you ready???

First up is a card I made for this week's Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger - Finesse the Dress and Case Study Challenge # 62:

How beautiful are these colors???  Love it!  Here's my card:

I adore these colors together.  My stamped sentiment and ink are Papertrey Ink.  My flower is Petaloo.  Lace is Pink Paislee.  I dry embossed my cardstock and added a scalloped boarder.  Very easy card to make!  This month's Case Study Muse is Nikki Estes!  So fun to find inspiration from her cards.

OK up next is....drum roll please....ColourQ:

And Ribbon Carousel:

I'm also entering this card in Papercraft Star Challenge 67 - A trick or a treat.  And my card:

My patterned paper, pumpkin, and berry lace can be found in this month's Sampler Kit - Mrs. Weasley.  My pumpkin is chipboard that's been painted with crackle paint.  My stamps are PTI.  And my pretty doily cut out is Martha Stewart.

Now for this week's Play Date Cafe Challenge:

And CardPatterns:

And my card:

I really struggled finding a mauve color to match the PDCC, so my color turned out a little more purple.  My cardstock, stamps, ribbon, and die cuts are PTI.  My lace is Pink Paislee.

Now for one more creation.  I made it to Round Four of the Practical Scrappers Card Making Contest!  So excited.  I REALY REALLY REALLY need your votes!  This week you can vote by poll, one vote per person.  Just follow this link to vote.  Here is my card for this round:

Our challenge this round was to use chevrons and stitching.  My paper is The Girls Paperie and cardstock is PTI.  My pink ribbon is PTI and I used glue dots to give it a chevron shape then stitched it to my cardstock.  My stamped sentiment is Maya Road.  Using my sewing machine to stitch on projects makes me really nervous (because I'm a disaster sewing!), but it turned out perfect!

Thanks for stopping by!  Tune in next week for a fun announcement and a BIG giveaway

Sampler Sketch Challenge

Hi all!  How's life treating you this week???  Hopefully wonderful.  I have a 4 day weekend so I'm not complaining!  It's cold and dreary here, but perfect weather to craft and cook.  My animals hate the cooler temps...the chickens act like it's zero out!

I've got 2 layouts to share with you tonite from The Sampler's October Kit - Mrs. Weasley.  First up is The Sampler's Sketch Challenge for the month:

What's up for grabs???  You could win a complete kit from The Sampler.  Check out The Sampler's Blog for more information.  Here's my take:

This is a LO of me and my cousin Jacob at the Kentucky Horse Park.  Such a beautiful place, especially for horse fans.  I'm loving these Thickers from AC and check out the little painted chipboard leaves, darling!

Up next is a LO I made for Punky Scraps - Collage Challenge:

A quick recap of Summer 2011 on the farm.  As you can see my Silkie chickens were a new addition, plus 2 new ducks.  I also have a shot of one of the twin deer that is living in our pasture.  See my feathers?  I thought they were cute to add to the page, because they are my feather hair extensions that I had for 3 days this Summer and they fell out.  Hubby said he didn't know he'd married a chicken, so I thought it only fitting to add to the farm page.

All of my goodies can be found in The Sampler Kit for October - Mrs. Weasley.  We would love to have you play along with this month's sketch challenge and good luck!

Pretty In Pink

Hi all!  I'm so excited to have made it to Round Three of the Practical Scrappers Card Contest.  I would be greatful for your vote!  To vote for my card all you have to do is visit this link and add a comment on which card you wish to vote for.  This contest has been great for me, really pushing my creativity each week.  Now for my card...I wanted to enter it in a few challenges:

First up is the Ribbon Reel Challenge 13 - Pretty Pastel Florals:

Isn't this a lovely picture?  Makes me want to drink tea and I don't even like the stuff, haha!  I'm also entering it in these challenges:

Jellypark Challenges - add pink and a ribbon
Raise The Bar #79 - Pink

Here's my card:

I made my card as shabby as possible!  The requirements for this card were to use a banner/flag and add the word "happy" to the sentiment.  My paper is The Girls Paperie - I could wallpaper my house in this stuff!  My cardstock, stamps, twine and ink are Papertrey Ink.  My lace is Crate Paper and seam binding is from Etsy.  The stamp set I used is "Love Lives Here" inspired by Melissa Phillips.  My banner is actually the roofs of the little houses in the set and the die cuts.  My pearls are Creative Charms.  It was fun thinking outside the box to make the banner!

I've also got to thank a few challenges this week!  CardPatterns included me in their Sketch 136 Super Six.  And I made the Top 3 at The Ribbon Reel Challenge 12.  Very honored to be a part of their winners circle!

Stop by on Thursday to see this month's sketch challenge from The Sampler and my layout!  Have a great week!

Good Ole Days

Hi folks!  Hope you've had a terrific weekend.  I did manage to finish another Autumn card today.  Seems like Fall inspires me to craft.  Summer is so busy on the farm I don't have a lot of time, so I'm enjoying lazy Autumn days with less to do.  I have a card to share tonite and I'm entering it in the following challenges:

The Shabby Tea Room #83 - Fall Flowers:

The Pink Elephant #120:

Also the following challenges:
And here is my card:

This little card is a modge podge of Autumn.  I used Papertrey Ink cardstock and doily die (which I'm so addicted to it's not even funny!).  My patterned paper is Cosmo Cricket, Authentique, and My Little Shoe Box.  And my sentiment is a Melissa Frances rub on.

I have a few pictures of my Fall decorations to share with you.  I love decorating the house this time of year.  My mantle is decked out, take a look (these pictures are kinda dark, should have turned more lights on or used a flash!):

And here's another:

I'm all about the primitive look!  See that big jar of spools, I've got some plans for it!  I think altered spools are fabulous, search it on Pinterest.  Think I'll make some Christmas ornaments.  I bought that BIG jar of spools at a local Antique store, love it!

The latest kit from The Sampler is now available for purchase, it's called Mrs. Weasley.  The kit is BEAUTIFUL, can't wait to get to work.  Will have projects to share later this week.

Would love your vote at the Practical Scrappers Card Contest - I made the Top 20.  All you have to do to vote is comment under the comment section, easy peasy!

And last but not least, I've gotta thank some challenges for including me in their winners circle the past few weeks:
Thanks so very much to these challenges!
