Rainy Days

Hi all!  Who's ready for short Autumn days and cooler weather?  It's been raining cats and dogs for the past few days in Kentucky, thanks to Hurricane Lee.  But I've enjoyed the slower pace of life and taking a break from the busy Summer days.

Have a card and a LO to share tonite.  My supplies are from the August Sampler Kit at Scrapbooking Supplies R Us.  First up is a card for this week's Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World, take a look:

This chair looks perfect for reading!  The flowers and colors were so inspirational.  Here is my card:

Loving this little card and the fabulous POW!  Glitter Paper from AC!  Next up is another project from the August Sampler Kit.  I was inspired by this week's Sketchy Thursday sketch:

And here is my LO:

My farm life is always a journey!  There's an adventure around every corner, sometimes happy and sometimes sad.  Each moment makes me respect nature more and so thankful for the beautiful world God gave us.

I got my September Sampler kit in the mail today and OMG it is fabulous!  Can't say enough good things about this kit, here's a little looky:

So excited to get to work using "Come Fly With Me".  There's so many unique pieces to this kit, truly makes it special.  Check out The Sampler's Blog to see some of the fabulous projects the DT have already created with this kit!  I have so many pictures to scrap.  I attended my cousin's wedding this weekend at the Kentucky Horse Park near Lexington.  It was such a beautiful ceremony (and hot hot hot).

We had a wonderful time.  The Horse Park was such a great location for an outdoor wedding in Kentucky!  I even convinced Matt to wear a purple shirt so he wouldn't clash with my dress, hehe!

I also want to share a new adventure I'm starting on.  I found a great women's Bible Study Group called Good Morning Girls.  With my busy life and working, sometimes I let my Bible Study slip, this is something I want to fix.  So starting mid September we begin studying:
Check out the Good Morning Girls website if it's something you might be interested in!

Sunshine

Hi all!  Have a quick LO to share tonite.  I'm entering it in Sketch Inspiration 's sketch 221.  Take a look:

And here is my LO:

This is my precious Jack Russell - Jake!  We adopted him in 2004.  He can be a little stinker, but Hubs and I adore him dearly!  I used goodies from The Sampler Kit for March to create this LO.  The mustache Hambley paper is fabulous (and limited edition!).

Up next is a card I made from The Sampler Kit for March.  I was inspired by this week's Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World:

Oh how I love everything "royal".  The wedding was just amazing.  From Kate's wedding dress to the carriages!  I think a cameo is very elegant and royal.  Here's my card:

This card is entered in the following challenges:
I've had a beautiful couple of days off from work.  These pictures sum up what I've been doing this weekend:

I had told you my duck "might" become a Mom last week "if" her eggs hatched.  Well the day they were suppose to hatch, her eggs disappeared.  So Saturday I went and bought these little guys at the stock sale.  Fredda (my duck) immediately tried to kill them when I gave them to her.  She's a bit crazy.  By today there were only 3 ducklings alive (questionable causes of death for the other 2 - angry Momma duck, snake, chilly nite - nothing confirmed)....they had bonded a bit better, but things are still touch and go.  The ducklings chase her all over the barn lot, they've decided she'd make a good Mom....I'm not so sure????  Ah the trouble that I've went to for the sake of Fredda Quackers and motherhood!

"He's So Dreamy"

Hi all!  Two posts in 1 day, amazing!  I've got a little card to share tonite that I made for the CR84FN Color Challenge and  Moxie Fab World - Get Daring with Decorative Tape Challenge.

And here is my card:

I've had some Pink Paislee decorative tape in a drawer for months and not done a thing with it.  So I decided to make my own patterned paper.  I started out with green cardstock and criss crossed my tape, making my own plaid pattern.  I then ran it thru my Cuttlebug and embossed it, then inked the embossing with green ink.

I must have a little Valentine's Day "love" left in my system, because I added a February calendar, heart, and "he's so dreamy" rub-on.  Love the sentiment!

Cameos & Color

I love cameos. They are just adorable and very trendy in the crafting world. When Moxie Fab World issued a cameo challenge I knew I had to play along. I decided to mix it up by using this week's color challenge at The Play Date Cafe:

I'll be honest, when I saw these colors I thought "how in the world will I use them in a card???"  I think that's why it's called a "challenge".  It's neat to keep your style of crafting, but push yourself by adding elements you usually wouldn't.

Here's my card:

Lots of pink, with a little red, blue, and purple.  This adorable paper and rub on are from Pink Paislee.  I used some pink liquid pearl, gems from Creative Charms, a Jenni Bowlin cameo, and ribbon from Papertrey Ink.

And a little Creative Charms news, the Deal Of The Month and Kit Of The Month are now available at the Creative Charms Store.  The February Kit Of The Month is titled "Simply The Best".  It is a 62 piece kit available for $14.99.

The February Deal Of The Month is called "Simply More" and contains 194 pieces of embellishment goodies for $6.99.

Enjoy!!!

Crafty Sundays

Don't you just love Sunday's in the Winter?  After Church I snuggled in the house for some nice crafty time.  It's too cold to do anything outside this time of year, the farm animals had been fed, and I had the entire day to myself.

First up is a card I made for CardPatterns.  Take a look at Sketch 98:

I also made this card for a Moxie Fab World Challenge - "Gray Is The New Black".  Gray is such a fun color to work with and looks so good with pinks, teals, and any other color you can think of!  I'm so happy gray is getting the attention it deserves.

There is something so clean looking about the color gray, love it!  I used KI Memories Letters, Papertrey Ink Ribbon, and Creative Charms flower and jewels.

Next up is another Moxie Fab World card for the Monochromatic Challenge:

Ah, darling pinks.  I used 3 different shades of pink to complete this challenge.  My pinks are brighter than the sample colors, but it was too cute not to post:

I used "lots" of Papertrey Ink Cardstock, Stamps, and Button.  My ribbon is American crafts.  And my cute crochet flowers and pink pearls are Creative Charms.

I also made a LO for Sketchy Thursdays "February Guest Designer Challenge".

And here is my LO:

I used My Mind's Eye and Echo Park goodies for this LO.  Love the bright Springy colors.  My crochet flowers are Creative Charms.  This challenge had 3 other elements to make it more difficult - 1. Journal, 2. use a heart, 3. use red/or pink.  Fun Fun Fun!

Fab Challenges

Hi all!  How's January so far?  All it has done since the beginning of December is snow in Kentucky.  Constantly.  We don't even mention snowy days anymore, we comment on the days when there is no snow falling because it's a rarity!  I'm so ready for Spring and flowers and crickets and frogs chirping.

I have a few challenges I took part in this week.  First up is a card I made for Moxie Fab World's Neutrals Color Challenge:

Oh how I love these soft colors, aren't they beautiful?  I also added this card to The Play Date Cafe's Color Challenge:

Very similar colors : )  And here is my card:

I am so addicted to My Mind's Eye at the moment, seems like that's all I use.  I added a darling bow using Papertrey Ink Ribbon and a Melissa Frances Rub-On.

Next up is a fun sketch Shimelle created for her readers to use.  I love her blog, always full of wonderful tips and tricks.  Loved the sketch also:

And here's my take on the sketch:

This is Harley, my neighbor.  She's the cutest little dog and loves visiting on pretty Summer Days.  I used My Mind's Eye Patterned Paper and darling stickers from Echo Park.  I'm not big on using stickers, but I'm in love with Echo Park's and can't help myself.  The cute crochet butterflies are from Creative Charms.

I also have a Crop Spot post up at Scrapbooking Supplies R Us on nontraditional Valentine's using the newest Sampler Kit "A Bright New Year"!

Enjoy!!!
