I have a couple of challenge cards to share with you tonite. The weather in Kentucky is so nasty that it's a joy to stay inside and craft. The barnyards are so muddy and you have to wear layer after layer of clothes so you can stay warm! Can't wait for Spring!
Tonite my cards both feature doilies. I'm so addicted to using doilies on my cards and LO's! They are just so dainty and added a frilly touch. First up is a card I did for this week's Twisted Sketches card challenge - the twist is to use bling. I also used the Moxie Fab Trigger Tuesday picture as inspiration:
And here is my card:
I wanted to make a Valentine, but use nontraditional colors. So I added touches of yellow and blue. I also added this card to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge 16, make a heart themed card using ribbon and Get Sketchy Card Challenge 71.
Next up is a little card I made for this week's The Play Date Cafe Challenge #66.
Here's my card:
I love this little card. I used all neutral colors and splashed some lilac ribbon and stamped my sentiment in lilac. I also inked the edges of my paper with lilac. I usually don't do neutral with a splash of color, but really enjoyed the technique! Will have to use it again!
And who would like to win a free kit? Just visit Creative Charms to see this week's giveaway - the January Kit of the Month.
Plus I have a new blog post at Scrapbooking Supplies R Us showing you how to make this using The Sampler January Kit - A Bright New Year:
So much fun using ATC trays for altered projects! And guess what's in the mail and making its way to my house:
Can't wait to get my Project Life 2011 by Becky Higgins! OK that's enough information and cards for one nite! Enjoy!

Hugs & Kisses
Have a happy little Valentine card to share with you today! I mixed the Tuesday Trigger from Moxie Fab World with the adorable sketch at CardPatterns to make my creation.
Such a beautiful picture! I love Valentine's Day...flowers and pink! And your Sweetie spoils you! The perfect holiday if you ask me. And here is the sketch:
You can't go wrong with all that inspiration! I also used this card in The Pink Elephants Color Challenge: pink, red, and brown. You have to look for the brown, but it's there. Here is my card:
I used goodies from the Noel Mignon "Truly Scrumptious" Kit. If you are a fan of Valentine's Day - this is the kit for you. I also added a little Papertrey Ink and bling from Creative Charms.
I'm also entering this card in the Fresh Brewed Blog Challenge #32.

Winter Wonderland
This week The Shabby Tea Room has a beautiful photo to inspire our creativity. Challenge #46 wants us to create a Winter themed project:
Such a lovely photo! Here is my "snowy" card:
I used shabby goodies from Melissa Phillips Etsy store to complete this project. I also used a doily, projects can never have enough feminine touches! My pearls are from Creative Charms.
Visit The Shabby Tea Room for tons of inspiration! I also entered this card in the following challenge:

Jewel Tones
Hi all! Have a card for you today that combines the CPS Sketch 201 with a Moxie Fab Challenge.
Super cute sketch! So I combined it with the Jewel Tones color challenge:
When I first saw these colors, I thought ummmm "no way". There was no pinks, no purples, no greens. But when I started using the colors, I feel in love.
These are colors I would have normally never used, but forcing myself to work outside my comfort zone I discovered a set of colors that I love together! My little card is full of Crate Paper goodies, Creative Charms Bling, and Papertrey Ink Ribbon and Stamps.
Creative Charms is also having a Vintage Candy giveaway. Visit the CC Blog for details!

A Bright New Year
It's challenge time at Scrapbooking Supplies R Us. Take a look at this month's darling sketch:
This month The Sampler DT used the beautiful January kit, "A Bright New Year" to create LO's using this sketch. Here's another picture of the kit:
This kit is just fabulous! Love all the earthy colored papers and fun embellishments! It really makes you want to start creating and gets your crafty mojo going for the new year!
Here is my take on the sketch:
This is Big Red. No doubt you can tell which one she is, hence her name. She became great friends with my little chicken Black Gold last Summer. So Black Gold decides to go and hatch some chicks. Big Red started sitting in the nest next to her. Big Red's eggs didn't hatch, but Black Gold's did. Honestly I wasn't sure what to do, so I took them both off the nests at the same time and Big Red decided to play Nanny to Black Gold's chicks. They both took care of them, watching them and teaching them to eat and play. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen. Big Red would let the little one's sit on her back and she would cover them to keep them warm. So we decided the perfect name for her is "The Nanny". And I thought in honor of all her hard work, she deserved a LO telling her story!

Crafty Sundays
Don't you just love Sunday's in the Winter? After Church I snuggled in the house for some nice crafty time. It's too cold to do anything outside this time of year, the farm animals had been fed, and I had the entire day to myself.
First up is a card I made for CardPatterns. Take a look at Sketch 98:
I also made this card for a Moxie Fab World Challenge - "Gray Is The New Black". Gray is such a fun color to work with and looks so good with pinks, teals, and any other color you can think of! I'm so happy gray is getting the attention it deserves.
There is something so clean looking about the color gray, love it! I used KI Memories Letters, Papertrey Ink Ribbon, and Creative Charms flower and jewels.
Next up is another Moxie Fab World card for the Monochromatic Challenge:
Ah, darling pinks. I used 3 different shades of pink to complete this challenge. My pinks are brighter than the sample colors, but it was too cute not to post:
I used "lots" of Papertrey Ink Cardstock, Stamps, and Button. My ribbon is American crafts. And my cute crochet flowers and pink pearls are Creative Charms.
I also made a LO for Sketchy Thursdays "February Guest Designer Challenge".
And here is my LO:
I used My Mind's Eye and Echo Park goodies for this LO. Love the bright Springy colors. My crochet flowers are Creative Charms. This challenge had 3 other elements to make it more difficult - 1. Journal, 2. use a heart, 3. use red/or pink. Fun Fun Fun!

Fab Challenges
Hi all! How's January so far? All it has done since the beginning of December is snow in Kentucky. Constantly. We don't even mention snowy days anymore, we comment on the days when there is no snow falling because it's a rarity! I'm so ready for Spring and flowers and crickets and frogs chirping.
I have a few challenges I took part in this week. First up is a card I made for Moxie Fab World's Neutrals Color Challenge:
Oh how I love these soft colors, aren't they beautiful? I also added this card to The Play Date Cafe's Color Challenge:
Very similar colors : ) And here is my card:
I am so addicted to My Mind's Eye at the moment, seems like that's all I use. I added a darling bow using Papertrey Ink Ribbon and a Melissa Frances Rub-On.
Next up is a fun sketch Shimelle created for her readers to use. I love her blog, always full of wonderful tips and tricks. Loved the sketch also:
And here's my take on the sketch:
This is Harley, my neighbor. She's the cutest little dog and loves visiting on pretty Summer Days. I used My Mind's Eye Patterned Paper and darling stickers from Echo Park. I'm not big on using stickers, but I'm in love with Echo Park's and can't help myself. The cute crochet butterflies are from Creative Charms.
I also have a Crop Spot post up at Scrapbooking Supplies R Us on nontraditional Valentine's using the newest Sampler Kit "A Bright New Year"!
Enjoy!!!

MME Challenge 19 x 2
I've had a long addiction to My Mind's Eye Products...for years! So when I found out they had a layout sketch challenge every month, I was super excited to use some of my stash. But this month, things got even better. They now have card challenge also! So I decided to play along with both challenges today.
First up is the LO. Take a look at the sketch:
And here is my LO:
The theme of the challenge is Winter - what does Winter mean to you. Well Winter means worrying about my "unique" dog Dalli. No matter what I do to keep Dalli warm, she would rather be in the snow and cold. It tortures me, why doesn't she like her heated pet bed more or heated water bowl? Why would you want wet paws and snowy fur? But Dalli has a mind of her own and lives life on her terms. I used several different MME patterned papers, ribbon, brads, and die cuts for this LO.
Next up is the card challenge.
And here is my card:
We could pick any theme for this card, so of course I picked Valentine's Day. Love all the pink and hearts! Visit the MME Blog to be inspired.
And I have a little blog candy to tell you about. Creative Charms is giving away 1 Kit of the Month to a lucky Facebook fan. Visit the Creatve Charm Blog and Facebook page for more details.

Sketchy Thursdays
Hi everyone. I discovered a sketch challenge called Sketchy Thursdays and just had to play along using my new kit "A Bright New Year" from Scrapbooking Supplies R Us. The sketch is very fun to play with and can only be found at the Sketchy Thursdays Facebook Page.
Here's my LO:
This is my precious Schnoodle, Gracie Goble. She's my little fluffy sidekick. See the cute little tiny photos of Gracie? I took them using my new Fuji Instax Camera, think "polaroids" that are credit card sized. Perfect for a scrapbooker!
Enjoy!!!
