Happy Days

Hi all.  Got a fun little card to share tonite.  I was inspired by the adorable Happy Digital Clip Art at Chocolate Sundae Designs - an Amy Matte's Designs creation.  Check out her shops to see all the sweet  products availble.

I decided to enter this card in CPS Sketch 216:

And here is my card:

I used fabulous Pink Paislee Pattterned Paper and PTI Cardstock.  I then added a journaling tag, the sentiment happy, and green flower via Happy Digial Clip Art.  I used a piece of Creative Charms Polka Dot Ribbon and light blue jewels for the flower centers.  My flower button is Crate Paper.  And that cute little flag - The Girls' Paperie....which would be VERY easy to make, it's on a pearl stick pin (gotta keep this in mind for future projects).

Now on to a winner....The winner of my Creative Charms package of goodies is Cher!  Cher I just sent you an email.  Congrats!!!  And I want to thank all of my new followers!  It's so fun to visit your blogs for added inspiration!

Cardabilties Sketch #30

Time for a fabulous new sketch from Cardabilties

Sketch #30 had me thinking!  Do I want to make a round card, do I want to use my Nestabilties, the possibilties are endless:

And then I had a moment of inspiration!  Anyone that follows me knows I adore doilies:

I used a doily from Little Yellow Bicycle and  inked the edges with brown ink.  I used Papertrey Ink Cardstock, Stamp (sentiment and leaves), and buttons.  My pearls are Creative Charms.  I used Crate Paper Ribbon and an American Crafts flower.  This little card was so easy to make, doilies are so feminie and makes your card look stylish.

Visit Cardabilties to see the Design Teams darling creations.  Don't forget Cardabilties also has a Forum so join to make new crafty friends and upload your take on Sketch #30 to the Cardabilties Gallery

Creative Charms Farewell Blog Hop

Welcome to the Creative Charms Blog Hop!!!  If you just happen to be stopping by, please visit Creative Charms to start the hop.  If you are already taking part in the hop, you should have arrived from Kristal's fabulous blog.

It has been so much fun to be a part of the Creative Charms Team.  I have been so inspired by the beautiful products.  But all good things must come to an end and it's time for CC to pick another DT and give someone the fabulous chance that I have had!

For my parting project, I was inspired by the April Kit - Spring Has Sprung - to make another Easter creation:

I can't begin to tell you how fun this was to make!  I started with a plain glass and poured green acrylic paint inside the glass.  I then swirled it around the edges, JUST to make a messy pattern.  I then added another color and did the same thing.  I added a total of 4 colors.  If you give the color before a little bit of time to set (minutes) the colors don't mix, they just swirl together in a rainbow!  Love it!

I then put a foam ball inside my glass and added Easter Egg sprays.  I wrapped my glass with Fancy Yellow Polka Dot Ribbon and added a butterfly from the Sparkle Butterfly Medley to the outer glass.

For the Easter Egg Sprays, I glued goodies from the Spring Has Sprung Kit direclty on to my eggs.  I a little shredded paper topped off this pretty Easter decor.

If The Shoe Fits

Happy Friday!  Time for a new challenge at If The Shoe Fits...Scrap It.  Fashionista Friday #77 is a winged challenge:
Show anything with wings in your project. Birds, bees, butterfies, fairies, etc....

I really didn't want to do a butterfly card because I've been so addicted to them lately (ok maybe years???) and use them on everything.  But I just couldn't help myself:

I used Papertrey Ink cardstock and stamps.  I stamped my row of little butterflies at the bottom of my cardstock.  I then added a piece of October Afternoon patterned paper that I punched with a Fiskars scalloped punch.  I added a piece of Creative Charms Polka Dot Ribbon and Butterfly.  I stamped my sentiment on an Elle's Studio tag.

Fresh From The Garden

Hi all!  Hope you had a wonderful Easter.  My weekend was wonderful.  Had a terrific time with family, friends, and at Church.  I also found a little time for crafting this evening.  Have you seen the Front Porch Kits?  They are a new monthly kit club.  I love the country feel of the kits.  This month's kit is called Fresh From The Garden and includes items that aren't regularly seen in kits, like chicken wire.  I flipped when I saw the wire, you know my love of chickens and all!  So I knew I had to have a kit:

I decided to play along with this week's Sketchy Thursdays challenge:

And I had the perfect pictures for this LO:

My LO focuses on Mr. Kitty.  He is the guardian of the barnyard and my chickens.  If there's a butterfly to be seen, he's ready to attack!  The only problem with Mister is he's not that worried about mice!  He's strictly a butterfly hunter!  So I added butterflies to my LO, perfect touch!

I  have another LO to share:

This is our older Great Pyrenees Boots.  She was just a puppy when Matt and I were dating.  Now she's an old gal who loves her job tending the goats.  She also has the new GP puppy Brisco to raise!  Hopefully that will keep her young at heart!

Check out the Front Porch Kits, they are fabulous.  Both LO's were made using the Fresh From The Garden Kits.  And I have a Blog Post up at Creative Charms!  Don't forget the upcoming CC Blog Hop this Friday where you will have the chance to win all kinds of goodies!

If The Shoe Fits #75

Hi all.  The bad news is today is the end of tax season.  The good news is it's time for a new Fashionista Friday challenge from If The Shoe Fits...Scrap It.  This week we are having a recipe challenge, here's the ingredients:

2 Die Cuts
Embossing
Clear Bling

Easy, right?  Easter is right around the corner, so I decided to make my own little Easter egg.  I also entered this card in the Off The Wall Craftiness Challenge 51.  Look at the inspirational photo:

Oh don't you just love Easter Themes, here's my card:

I used my Spellbinder Nestabilties to cut out 2 oval die cuts, my biggest is cork board.  I then embossed the yellow of my egg using my Cuttlebug.  I added clear bling to the embossed circles.  My stamps and ribbon is Papertrey Ink and my bling and flower is Creative Charms

Amy Mattes Designs

Hi all!  Have some fun Design Team news to share tonite.  I'm now part of the Amy Mattes Designs DT.  Amy has fabulous Etsy shops with custom or premade goodies, invitations, digis, and more!

I want to share a card I made using some of Amy's adorable digital embellishments.  The printable digis I used can be found at Chocolate Sundae Designs.

Such a fun and easy way to make cards!  My sentiment, flower, and flower pot are all from Chocolate Sundae Designs.  My pink pearls and butterfly are from Creative Charms.

Does this card have you thinking of Spring?  Spring is in full bloom in Kentucky.  Some days are chilly, but all the trees are budding and there are even flowers out!   All of you know how much I love my chickens.  Well I bought Hubby an incubator for Christmas so we could hatch any eggs we like.  My neighbor has Bantam Silkies and gave us a setting of eggs.  Here is a picture of what an adult Silkie looks like:

Isn't it gorgeous?  We hatched 5 Silkies and 2 standard big chickens and 1 mystery chicken.  Here's a picture:

The chicks with the black feet and beaks are the Silkies.  They're soft chick feathers already reach their feet!  I'm in love!!!  They have a wonderful little chicken hutch at the barn with all the necessities a chick might need.  But today has been chilly and tonite it may get to freezing.  So guess where this picture was taken?  I have the little guys in a bath tub in one of my extra bathrooms.  They are nice and toasty!  Tomorrow is suppose to be warm, so hopefully they'll return outdoors in the morning.

Enjoy!!!

Happy April

Hi sweet friends.  April already???  I'm happy to report my Papaw is doing a little better, he's still in ICU and in need of your Prayers, but his pneumonia is resolving and his vitals are now stable.  I am so thankful to everyone who has said a Prayer for him!

Now on to some scrapping and a giveaway from Creative Charms.  I finally made it back to my craft room tonite after a busy week.  Don't you just love inspiring pictures of craft rooms that look like this:

Well take a look at mine, ok just my desk:

Ummm, not exactly going to make it in Good Housekeeping!  I'm a messy crafter and there's no way to fix it, been trying for years!  Kinda looks like a tornado swept thru!  Oh well, as long as there is a method to the madness I'll be ok!

I've been having fun using the darling Sparkled Butterfly Medley embellishments from Creative Charms:

Here's another Springy card I created  using these darling little butterflies:

If The Shoe Fits Challenge 72

~Click here to enter my Giveaway~

It's Friday and that means a new Fashionista Friday challenge at If The Shoe Fits....Scrap It.  This week's Challenge 72 is a recipe:

Distress Ink
Bling
Flowers

Easy peasy!  For my card I wanted to follow the recipe, but go about it in a different way.  Here's my card:

One of my favorite techniques is to simply go around the edges of my patterned paper with brown ink.  This gives it a vintage feel.  I used Echo Park patterned paper, Papertrey Ink Stamps, American Crafts Flower Brad, Really Reasonable Ribbon lace, My Mind's Eye Ribbon, and Creative Charms Jewels.

Visit If The Shoe Fits to see the Design Team's take on this week's challenge!

If The Shoe Fits - Fashionista Friday #68

Time for a new Fashionista Friday challenge from "The Shoe"!  This week we are having a birthstone challenge for the month of February.  Make a card and use the color purple.  This worked out wonderful since that's my birthstone, so fun that I share a birthday month with "The Shoe".

Here is my card:

I used Papertrey Ink "Year of Flower - Violets" and stamped my background.  I then traced the flowers with a grey Copic to add dimensions.  I embossed my stamping and glittered the flowers with Stickles.  I stamped my sentiment on vellum, added ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and a Vintage Brad plus Pink Pearls from Creative Charms.  My cardstock is Papertrey Ink and Core'dinations.

If The Shoe Fits....Scrap It!

Hi all!  Hope you're having a terrific week.  It's been sunny and in the 60's and 70's here the past 2 days, so I'm in Heaven!  I have a really bad case of Spring Fever.

I have a fun announcement.  I've been picked as a new DT member for the challenge site If The Shoe Fits...Scrap It!  Today is my first DT challenge with them.  This week's Fashionista Friday challenge (FF#67) is to create a Birthday themed project!  Such a great challenge since my birthday was this month!  Here is my card:

I wanted to keep my card simple.  I love the "Berry Sorbet" colors from Papertrey Ink, so I used those colors for my cardstock, ribbon, and ink.  I added pearls from Creative Charms and Pink Paislee and MME patterned papers.

Visit If The Shoe Fits...Scrap It! to see the "Shoes" beautiful takes on this week's challenge.

And I have some great news from Creative Charms.  We finally hit 1,000 fans on Facebook and are doing a giveaway. All you have to do is send a self addressed stamped envelope to:

PO Box 186
Wexford, PA 15090

Shabby Sunday

Hi everyone!  Made a shabby little card on this lazy Sunday.  First up is CardPatterns Sketch 102.

A very challenging sketch this week.  I combined it with the All Things Unity Challenge:

I'm sure everyone has a favorite Unity or Ippity Stamp!  My favorite comes from the "Life is Fabulous" set from February 2010.

I also entered this card in the Off The Wall Craftiness Challenge 45 - making something vintage or with hearts and be inspired by this picture:

And here is my creation:

I love this "bicycle built for two"!  I used pretty Pink Paislee patterned paper, Papertrey Ink Cardstock, and wrinkled ribbon from Etsy.  I used a vintage tag and inked everything in brown to make it look rustic.

I also made this card for the Wee Memories Challenge 43 - Live, Laugh, Love

And don't forget the sweet Valentine's Day Giveaway at Creative Charms Facebook page.  On Monday CC will be giving away a Deal of the Month kit to TWO of our fans on Facebook. All you have to do is "like" the CC Facebook page for a chance to win.

I also received a little Design Team news today.  Will give you all the fun details later this week!
