Lost & Found 2

Who has seen the new Lost & Found 2 Collection from My Mind's Eye!  It is beautiful, amazing, fabulous....ok I could keep this up all nite, but you get the point.  The collection is a must have for paper crafters!  The latest Sampler Kit is full of the latest MME goodies!  I had to make a LO for this month's layout challenge on the My Mind's Eye Blog:

Here is my LO using all MME products found in this month's Sampler Kit:

This is Matt's sweet little Mamaw Hester.  I wanted this LO to be a collection of goodies and just stuck my journaling strips here and there, didn't want them to be straight and perfect.  Love how it turned out.  All of my goodies are from the Lost & Found 2 collection, love it!  I know some day I'll think "back then - when we would spend our evenings sitting on Hester's porch" will be a precious memory.

Rainy Days

Hi all!  Who's ready for short Autumn days and cooler weather?  It's been raining cats and dogs for the past few days in Kentucky, thanks to Hurricane Lee.  But I've enjoyed the slower pace of life and taking a break from the busy Summer days.

Have a card and a LO to share tonite.  My supplies are from the August Sampler Kit at Scrapbooking Supplies R Us.  First up is a card for this week's Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World, take a look:

This chair looks perfect for reading!  The flowers and colors were so inspirational.  Here is my card:

Loving this little card and the fabulous POW!  Glitter Paper from AC!  Next up is another project from the August Sampler Kit.  I was inspired by this week's Sketchy Thursday sketch:

And here is my LO:

My farm life is always a journey!  There's an adventure around every corner, sometimes happy and sometimes sad.  Each moment makes me respect nature more and so thankful for the beautiful world God gave us.

I got my September Sampler kit in the mail today and OMG it is fabulous!  Can't say enough good things about this kit, here's a little looky:

So excited to get to work using "Come Fly With Me".  There's so many unique pieces to this kit, truly makes it special.  Check out The Sampler's Blog to see some of the fabulous projects the DT have already created with this kit!  I have so many pictures to scrap.  I attended my cousin's wedding this weekend at the Kentucky Horse Park near Lexington.  It was such a beautiful ceremony (and hot hot hot).

We had a wonderful time.  The Horse Park was such a great location for an outdoor wedding in Kentucky!  I even convinced Matt to wear a purple shirt so he wouldn't clash with my dress, hehe!

I also want to share a new adventure I'm starting on.  I found a great women's Bible Study Group called Good Morning Girls.  With my busy life and working, sometimes I let my Bible Study slip, this is something I want to fix.  So starting mid September we begin studying:
Check out the Good Morning Girls website if it's something you might be interested in!

My Heart

Hi guys and gals!  I feel so sorry for my poor neglected bloggo.  It's been a VERY busy Summer.  The last of this years hay was put up today, we've still got new chicks everywhere, and my little duck is doing great.  I do believe he's a boy and I've decided to name him.....drumroll please....Bubby Quackers.

I also have another new addiction:

Love the definition!  So true!  When I'm pinning I want to run to my craft room and make something or run to the kitchen and cook.  It's nice to get soooo inspired!

Got a LO to share tonight using goodies from the newest kit from The Sampler.  This month's kit is fabulous with all kinds of goodies.  My favorite thing in the kit is the POW!  Glitter Paper from AC.  Wowzers is it beautiful.  Here's my LO:

My preciously cute Gracie Goble!  Love this little fat fluff ball dearly!  This darling Webster's Pages paper was perfect for my doggie theme.  I also adore the Hambley Banner rub-on.  Visit The Sampler today to get your kit.  I also have a mini album tutorial at The Sampler's new blog, so stop by!  And Holly from Experience Life Wisely is having a giveaway at her blog, just follow the link for your chance to win!

The Sampler

Hi all!  The Sampler has a fabulous new kit for August that is beeeautiful......Take a look:

I'm already in love with this kit, can't wait to see it in person!  I have a LO from last month's kit to share with you tonite.  Here it is:

Logan wanted to go fishing while we were on vacation.  People all around us were catching baby sharks.  He threw his line in and a few minutes later he had a bite, a shark!  Definitely a memory he will always have.  Matt and I had run out shopping, so Logan insisted on waiting till I got back to go fishing so I'd have my camera ready, hehe!  He knows me well!  I loved the July Sampler Kit, it had all kinds of goodies perfect for Summer scrapping.  The Sampler Kit Club also has a new Typepad blog where you can keep up with the latest news, we'd love for you to become a follower!

We spent the week in Tennessee enjoying the Smoky Mountains.  It's such a relaxing vacation and Mom went with us.  It's close enough to Kentucky, that we can be there in a couple of hours.  Here's the view from our cabin:

There is a fabulous Scrapbook Superstore there that I love.  We shopped till we almost dropped!  I'm thankful God gave me such a great peaceful week relaxing with nothing to do!

Lost In Space

Hi guys and my poor little neglected blog!  Seems like my mojo has took a Summer vacation and hasn't came home yet!  There's just endless work to do on the farm plus I do have a REAL job that pays the bills.  Hopefully with Autumn around the corner I can slow down and enjoy days snuggled indoors scrapping and crafting.

I have 2 cards to share with you tonite using adorable digital clipart from One Pink Lemon.  First up is a "hoot" of a card. I can't get enough owls!  Who would think they'd be so cute on paper.

Eek, I just love this little owl.  My patterned papers are My Little Shoe Box, ribbon is PTI, and bling is Creative Charms.  Owl and sentiment are One Pink Lemon.  I'm enterning this little card in the following challenges:
Up next is another card using goodies from One Pink Lemon.  This time I used the Home Sweet Home digital clipart set

For this little card I used PTI Cardstock.  Patterned Paper is My Little Shoebox.  Twine and seam binding.  Button is Crate Paper and bling is Creative Charms.  My house, sentiment, and flower border are One Pink Lemon

And I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
I'm happy to report that my duck Fredda still has 1 baby duck alive.  That may not sound like happy news since she started out with 3, but believe me we're happy!  She's a wonderful mother.  I've got all kinds of new chicks running around.  Here's a picture of the barnyard:

This is my little barn.  It's where I keep my chickens and turkeys.  I adore my little barn - this is the most peaceful place on the planet and I could sit there for hours and watch my chickens interact with eachother.  That's me surrounded by chicks and turkeys!  They were preparing for a midday snack of corn.

My neighbor gave me a Silkie rooster today.  We're thinking all of the Silkies I hatched are females so we needed a rooster.  My new rooster has a history of picking fights and being a bully, so we named him Ivan the Terrible.  Hopefully he will prove his name wrong and fit in perfectly!  And hopefully we'll start having baby Silkies!

Ups and Downs

Hi all!  Have a few LO's to share tonite made with goodies from July's Sampler Kit from Scrapbooking Supplies R Us.  The kit will be available any day and it is loaded with fabulous goodies!  So get ready to shop!!!

First up is a LO I made for this week's Sketchy Thursday challenge:

And my LO:

Ahhhh fun in the sun!  Love doing layouts of vacation pictures.  Perfect ways to preserve great memories.

Up next is a LO made for Sketchy Thursdays Guest Designer for August:

Here's another LO:

Logan, my nephew, loved kite flying at the beach.  Such a fun picture opportunity!

This week has been full of ups and downs at the barn.  My duck Fredda has ducklings!  Yes, after 2 years of infertility she's finally a Momma!  She had 3 little ducklings hatch and now is down to 2.  Hoping and Praying the 2 remaining make it:

My rooster Quagmire, who I've had for at least 3 years, has had a bad foot for a while now.  Today it finally got so bad he couldn't walk or use the foot so we made the difficult decision to put him down.  It just kills me to decide between life and death and weigh the quality of life he had. Here's a LO I did in 2009 featuring Quagmire:

He was a beauty!  The barnyard always has one rooster that steps up to be the ruler.  Quag was our leader and I'm anxious to see who steps up and takes over.  There will never be another Quag!

Pretty In Pink

Anyone else a blog slacker this Summer?  There's just so much to do with my days and so little time!  Here in the country Summer's are the best.  Long days, plenty of sunshine, and watermelon.  We're already getting corn, green beans, cucumbers, and potatoes out of the garden, yummo.  There's nothing like fresh corn on the cob!

I've got a LO to share tonite that I made using The Sampler kit for June:

I posted this flower picture a few months ago and thought it was scrap worthy.  It was one of the first signs of Spring I saw this year.  I used Adobe Photoshop and made the purple of the flower a little more vibrant.  There's so many different definitions of art - mine is crafting.  Someone else may be drawing.  I love that we can all decide what art means to use and create away.

There's a new challenge up at If The Shoe Fits - it's a patriotic challenge.  Sign up now if you have a late 4th of July or Patriotic card you'd like to share.

Speaking of art, tonite I purchased a new goodie from Amazon:

I got a Pretty Pink Smashbook from K & Co. and goodies to go with it.  OK, why didn't I think of this book???  I've been keeping diaries and scrapping for years, I'm a pack rat of anything that could some day hold a memory or spark an idea.  I'm so excited to get my Smashbook and found a great Smashbook blog by K & Co

I've really found how important it is to keep my memories preserved since Papaw passed away.  I told you I had started a heritage album years ago.  Well I found all my notes and stories Papaw told me that I had already forgot...I was so happy!  And I have been doing a little ancestory research and found when my family originally traveled from Europe to the United States.  Just amazing!

Got a beach picture to share with you tonite of me and my nephew Logan.  We had such a great time at Ocean Island, NC.  Highly recommend it to everyone who likes to laze on the beach without the crowds:

Logan's almost as tall as me, hehe!  These pretty little sunglasses were lost at see later that week!  I'm sure there's a shark wearing them as we speak.

Things have been going good at the barns.  My little chicks have been keeping me busy.  We have many chickens that are new Momma's, but most of them only have a couple of chicks so the numbers are easier to deal with.  I showed a picture of my 5 baby ducks a few months ago, we only have 1 left.  We still have Frank and Fredda Quackers and Fredda is sitting on a nest of eggs again.  That duck really needs medication, she's nuts!  So Frank has befriended one of my baby ducks that is definitely a girl and we've named her Daphne.

She's going to look just like Fredda when she grows up, same type of duck.  Aren't the precious?  Daphne loves lounging around the barnyard, eating bread, and taking a dip in our water trough.  She's got the good life!

And last but not least.  You have to visit my friend Annette's Blog and check out the rattlesnake she found in her dog kennels, eek!  Plus you might want to look at her AMAZING cards also : )

Sorry this post skips around everywhere, but I didn't want to miss anything!

Enjoy!!!
